Commissioner for Education Visits to Baboko Community Secondary School, Ilorin: Urgent Renovation and Infrastructure Revamp Underway

In a bid to accelerate the developmental agenda initiated by the Baboko Community Secondary School, Ilorin National Alumni Association (BCSS-INAA) leadership under Dr. Abdulraheem Muritala, the Honourable Commissioner for Education Dr Lawal Oloungbebe, the school management led by the Principal, The Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) representatives and the Dr Abdulraheem Muritala and his Executive members, paid an official inspection visit to the school premises and its surrounding environment. This visit marks a significant step forward in addressing the pressing infrastructural challenges facing the institution. Following a comprehensive on-site assessment, the Honourable Commissioner observed that several classrooms are in a dilapidated state, with many lacking adequate furniture or teaching aids. Date: Wednesday, 9th July 2025 As part of its ongoing commitment to support the growth and development of their alma mater, the BCSS National Alumni Association, on Wednesday, 9th July 2025, actively participated in the school’s routine weekly sanitation exercise. The event was aimed not only at promoting cleanliness around the school premises but also at fostering a spirit of discipline and motivation among the student body. The exercise was led by the National President of the Alumni Association, Dr. Abdulraheem Muritala , who, along with other members of the alumni executive team, worked side-by-side with students to clean the school environment. PRESS RELEASE BCSS National Alumni Calls for Constitution Review Congress... The BCSS National Alumni is pleased to announce that it will be holding a Congress to review and potentially amend its constitution. This important event will bring together alumni members from across the country to discuss and propose changes to the current constitution. The Congress will provide an opportunity for alumni to voice their opinions and concerns, as well as to collaborate on ideas for improving the organization and its governance. The aim of the review is to ensure that the constitution reflects the values and goals of the BCSS National Alumni, and to ensure that it is relevant and effective in meeting the needs of its members and the community.
